Weekend Activities for July 6th Wednesday & Thursday, July 4th, 5th 12pm-7pm Horseshoes! Bring a friend to the boat dock and pick up a set of horseshoes to play! Friday, July 6th 5:30pm Bird Craft! Come to the activities room to make a fun bird craft before the bird show! YPP 7pm Three Rivers Avian Center: Wings of Wonder! Come to the activities room to meet live, large birds of West Virginia! Seats fill up fast so get there early! YPP 8:30pm Owl Prowl! - You’ve learned about them, now let’s find them in the wild! Meet the Naturalist behind Camper’s Corner for a hike in the dark to see what night time critters and sounds we can discover! YPP Saturday, July 7th 4pm Fishing Contest– Kids 14 and under can bring their fishing poles to the dock behind the boat rentals to try and win ice cream! YPP 6:00pm– Make Your Own Ice Cream! Meet the Naturalist in the activities room to make your own ice cream and eat it! 8pm Primitive Fire Demonstration! Come to the campfire circle to learn how to build a primitive\survival fire! YPP 8:30pm Marshmallows, Magic, and Ghost Stories!- Come to the fire circle to roast some marshmallows, see some magic and hear some ghost stories! YPP Sunday, July 8th 8:15am Early Bird Walk– Meet the Naturalist at the camper's corner for some free coffee and a gentle morning walk to watch the birds in the park. YPP 9:30 YPP Round up!- Have you completed YPP? All new Young People for Parks applicants can meet the Naturalist in the headquarters building to turn in your YPP paper and get your goodies! 12pm Bocce\Yard Ball!- The Naturalist is stuck in the office doing paperwork! You can help him by joining him for a game of Bocce ball!
